Gonze,
this seems a known issue with Nortel ExtraNOC adapter (I think it's the
Nortel VPN client). This virtual adapter fails to return its description
correctly at the first request, while it succeeds at the next one, causing
WinPcap to behave in this way. At the moment there's no solution, apart from
disabling completely this adapter or removing the Nortel VPN client from the
machine.
I'm very sorry for that.

I have found finally sometime to perform the trace:
I've put the trace done with WinPcap3.1 as with Winpcap 4.0a1 the
behaviour seems not exactly the same. If needed I can send you the one
with WinPcap 4.0a1.
Info required:
- Winpcap version: winpcap3.1
- output of windump -D see attached file
- OS platform Windos XP pro
- Network adapter: Dell Wireless 1350 (disabled actually)
Broadcom 570x Gigbit
- Description of the problem see below
