[Winpcap-bugs] pcap_sendpacket

I believe that I am using version 3.1 of the code. That's what the doc
file says. However, pcap.h has #define's for the major and minor
version indicating 2.4.

I have found that if I call pcap_sendpacket with a length of 0 (which is
admittedly a very stupid thing to do), I can crash XP.

The circumstances were actually a little bit funny. We have a
tester app that generates packets to a system under test. The
tester app uses pcap_sendpacket to send out these test packets.
When it is time to stop the test, we send out a packet to tell the
system under test to shut down our packet. That was the one that I
sent with a length 0. So, when I pressed the stop button on our
app, it stopped XP dead in its tracks. Even the monitor turned
    off. Some stop button, eh?
