I don't understand what the problem is, exactly. What is the "WinPcap interface" vs "regular network interface"?

Have you tried contacting the NETimetro authors?

  I'm using a software called NETimetro available at http://nars.aloj.net and that software relies on Winpcap to distinguish local network traffic from Internet traffic. But the problem is that by using the Winpcap interface sometimes the software just stops working. It works fine when using regular network interface (with no traffic distinction). 
  I have created the dump files required to analyze the issue.

  Wincap version: 4.0.1
  OS Platform: Windows XP Professional SP2
  Network adapters: nVidia nForce network controller, Realtek RTL8193 PCI adapter (disabled) 
  No firewalls installed. Only Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0.125 (which uses a NDIS filter)
