Ali,
I'm not familiar with the Borland environment, and I don't know exactly what
the "mad exception handler" works and what it reports.
The only thing I seem to see in the disassembly is that it crashes at
00401f05 which is an address within the project1.exe module (calling some
function with a function pointer probably). If you don't use this "mad
exception handler", what does the application crashing say? (You usually
have a popup window saying "Error access violation at XXXX.....").
Can you send me a small application binary that I can test to understand if
it crashes within winpcap or not?
Have a nice day
GV

Subject: [Winpcap-bugs] Get aan exception when calling
pcap_open_livefunction in Borland C++ Builder
Hi all,
I have written a Borland C++ builder project that succesfully runs using
winpcap functions. When I try to use the same functions in a different
project I get an exception error when calling pcap_open_live function.
Enclosed you will find the bug report of mad exception handler. The problem
seems to appears when calling a function in sysset.h.
Does anyone have any idea about the problem...
Best regards
