Thanks for the report!

I've fixed the bug and committed in our internal sources. It will be available in the next WinPcap release.

Have a nice day

Subject: [Winpcap-bugs] Memory leak in packet32.dll

Hello ,I'm very glad to contact with you.I'm trying to read the source code of winpcap,it's really a great project.I first get to know it when I was at university. But until now,I put myself into read it line by line. There is a sub-project used to create "packet32.dll",it was wrote by NETWORK & CACE.I know they are all very famous institution. But in the project ,I find some memory leak. It's because the memory allocate by function GlobalAlloc but it isn't correctlly free,it should be free by the function GlobalFree, but in the project it was freed by function "free".In a debug version,it will cause a "assert" error, but in realease version,it will cause some memory leak.

You can see the project,These memory is allocated in the fuction that used to transfer text from ASC to Unicode.I 'm sorry I can't show you the code because it's to slow to download the project.I found out it when I was working.

I hope it will give you some help to make it more and more great.Wish you a happy day.
