Subject: Winpcap not detecting my NIC

The application that uses winpcap is not working properly. Running Windump
shows that it's installed and running and detecting my default dialup
adapter. That's the only communications device it detects.

This began after I disabled my onboard NIC and installed a PCI NIC (SMC) to
rule out some lag/traffic problems. At first I thought that the problem was
with the NIC I used so I replaced that one with one by another manufacturer
(3COM). Windump didn't recognize that one either and the application still
isn't working properly. So, I go back to the onboard NIC figuring that it
was working with that one, perhaps it would start working again. No joy.
That NIC is not detected either and the application still isn't working
properly.

I'm running Winpcap 4.0.1.

Version 3.1 doesn't work either.

What can I do to get Winpcap to recognize the network adapter and get the
application working properly?

Thanks,

Robo
