[Winpcap-bugs] Winpcap 4.0.2 - capturing from dialup/VPN adapters is not supported.

I am new to this sort of thing, so I am not sure what to write. I wrote to
Cace, and was advised to post to this mailing list. I use a program called
Download Studio, which uses Winpcap for packet capture. I have recently
bought a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium installed, and I
migrated the program to the new computer. I find that now the program does
not detect my broadband dial-up modem. I wrote to Conceiva, the software
developers, and they say this is because the Vista compatible version of
Winpcap does not support dial-up modems.  I have confirmed this myself, by
consulting the Winpcap FAQ (Q. 28). I am wondering why this is, and how
likely it is that support will be extended to dial-up modems. (I am
currently running Winpcap version 4.0.2, and my modem is a Thomson
SpeedTouch 330 USB ADSL.)
