[Winpcap-bugs] no packets captured from nvidia nForce MCP on XP sp2

Greetings,

Using WinPcap 4.02 on XP pro sp2 I'm not getting any packets captured
from my nvidia_nForce_MCP adapter, from either anny of the example
programs from the WinPcap developer pack, or from  Wireshark 1.0.6
(27387) or SmartSniff v.136 (www.nirsoft.net)

Packets ARE captured from the WAN / PPP adapter though.

Connected / not connected to the Internet, makes no difference.

That is the only network card on my system.  It's not "really"
connected to anything,
(I have it plugged into a hub, but there is nothing else connected to the hub).

Would "not being connected" be the problem?

Local TCP / UDP programs DO work through the card though (simple
TCP/UDP server /client
programs).

I have the TCP address "hard coded" / assigned to the adapter. (10.0.0.1)

The only protocols on the adapter are TCPIP and the network monitor (that was
added by the WinPcap 4.02
