[Windump] Help with Windump

I moved the windump program to a sub-folder of \Program Files and now it is working. It listed the adapter I am using and once I had verified that I am trying David Trout's ckofflod program to see if it is an offload problem that I am hitting and I believe it is.

It returns this when I use ckofflod:
C:\Program Files (x86)\hercules\hercules-3.05\addons\bin>ckofflod NPF_{EA0BAB4A
A4C4-43A1-8428-5052E4A856C7}

Supports NDIS 5.1 "OID_TCP_TASK_OFFLOAD" (0xFC010201) = no

Supports NDIS 6.0 "OID_TCP_OFFLOAD_CURRENT_CONFIG" (0xFC01020B) = yes

ERROR: GetChecksumOffloadTask( OID_TCP_OFFLOAD_CURRENT_CONFIG (NDIS 6.0) ) fail
d; rc=1168 (0x00000490): Element not found.

Do you have any idea what this means and is this something I should contact David directly about for help?

Thanks.

Help with WindumpDid you run windump with elevated privileges? You need to open the command prompt by right-clicking on the link and then choosing "run as administrator".

Let me know if this works

Have a nice day

I am having problems with both WinPCap and WinDump. Have installed latest versions (downloaded within last 5 days) of both programs on a Win Vista x64 system with a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet adapter.

I'm currently trying to run WinDump to see what it reports about the adapter but when I run "windump" from the command prompt I get:

windump: PacketGetAdapterNames: The data area passed to a system call is too sma
  ll. (122)

With "windump -D" I get no response whatever, just a new command prompt:

  C:\Users\Robert LaBayne\Downloads>windump -D

  C:\Users\Robert LaBayne\Downloads>

I'm running it from the folder where it was downloaded. Could that be part of the problem? Do I need to move it somewhere else? Any ideas? I'm stumped.
