  Hi Daniel.

Can you please check if you have a copy of packet.dll into c:\windows\system32\ (supposing you work on XP/2003)?
If so, can you tell me the exact version of the file (something like 1.2.3.4)? You find the version of a file by right-clicking on it, choose properties, and then go to the Version tab.

If you have that file and its version is 3.1.0.27, it means that WinPcap 3.1 was already installed (in some strange way) by some other application. If you remove it, the vanilla WinPcap 3.1 installation should run smoothly.

  Have a nice day
  GV

Hey, ive used Winpcap for some time now and i was about to upgrade to the latest, somehow it got messed up.

Now when i run the WinPcap_3_1.exe i get the message "WinPcap 3.1 is already installed on this machine. The installation will be aborted"
But when i go to remove it in "remove/add" it is not there???

I cant remove it, and i cant install it...

Do anyone know what the installer checks for when it runs, so i can remove it and install WinPcap...

    -Daniel
