Wincap Users,

Hello. I am working on a networking project and need some help on an issue
I've been trying to resolve if you don't mind.

Is it possible to send a packet containing the MAC address of an Ethernet
card already on the network, and receive back it's dynamically assigned IP
address (e.g. created from DHCP)? I am trying to do this using VC++.
Again, I already know the MAC address and just need to know the IP.

I want to avoid using RARP. I want this to be quick and simple. In fact, I
believe this can be done at the packet level which is why I'm emailng you
for assistance. I just need some confirmation, and perhaps a good code
example. I have downloaded your WinPcap 3.1 Developer pack and would like
to know if a possible example in the pack could illustrate this for me.
Please let me know. I truly appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks,
