[Winpcap-users] IE8 and Winpcap

I have a program that uses not-promiscuous mode to detect the opening
of a web browser on a machine.  (The program then pops a window the
first time a browser window is opened.)

It has been working fine on Firefox and IE 7, and Chrome.

I
upgraded one machine to IE8, and now the popup happens multiple times
per window.  It's like the way IE8 communicates is different than other
browsers.

Has anyone else encountered this?  What is the solution?
