Hi All,
Thank you very much for the very helpful replies.  Now based on this
information I need to ask what could potentially be a silly question.
Why is this higher level (TDI) functionality not incorporated into
either winpcap or wireshark?  I have worked out some code that will
sniff packets locally and I am working to figure out the best place to
incorporate it.  I think wireshark/winpcap is terrific so I would like
to add local sniffing capability.
